To be clear I am not a member of One Struggle and I cannot speak for them. I was part of One Struggle "1.0" in the '90's, when I lived in South Florida, which didn't get fully off the ground. The current org was (re)formed in 2010. I do believe in basic solidarity with worker's struggles when they break out. The support link is to sustain the work of a worker's org in Haiti struggling under truly desparate conditions. I couldn't in good conscience share One Struggle material without sharing that also.
I've seen very little discussion by Revcoms-- or Refuse Fascism-- of organizational questions as questions in their own right. This creates the basis for a lot of confusion. This piece from the One Struggle crew lays out some basic issues. I think that the Intermediate level the piece talks about is widespread. Refuse Fascism as well as most Socialist orgs we run into, at least where I'm at, are actually operating at this level, however they concieve themselves. If we and others in movements of opposition don't know what we ourselves are doing, the resulting confusion creates the basis for all sorts of attacks and counterattacks in these movements.
"Confusion about levels leads to problems. For example, if revolutionary-minded people are working in an intermediate level organization but treat it as revolutionary, they tend to push for a higher level of unity than is appropriate, and don’t fully value or take into account the ideological diversity that is present. There lies the danger of replacing genuine unity with pressure to conform.Revolutionaries can, if not careful, end up dominating an intermediate level group, preventing the less experienced people from developing their skills and knowledge, and blocking the free flow and exchange of new ideas.
Often those who do mass organizing are, in reality, also intermediate level organizers who are generating temporary mass mobilizations rather than the movements they are aiming for..."
The answer to our current situation is not different levels of organization, though questions of organization are important, but what the leading ideology is. I recommend comrade Pete not only read the New Communism but also get into ideological struggle and debate on how it breaks with traditional “workerism”.
It is so refreshing to listen to someone talking about evidence-based knowledge, decisions and conclusions based on reality and not some subjective, self-centered want, fighting for the truth wherever it takes you.
It is ironic because there is so much putrid culture that many people cannot even recognize their own subjectivity in how they view the world. For many, the question of curiosity of how the world works does not even exist. Our hope lies in the great leadership and guidance of Bob Avakian and the Revcoms, the deteriorating situation for millions and millions of people here and around the world, and objective reality itself hitting people one way or another that will force people to question how they think— no longer willing to live in the same old way.
I did read the paper that Pete points to. The paper, itself, is a good example of economism.
How so?

Revolutions are prime targets for those who would coopt them for their own ends
We have seen it before.
Inter group communication is imperative.

I've read the New Communism. What we are doing here is some of the ideological struggle you mention... I'll get back on this.
